Mannington on HGTV’s Rock the Block: Kitchens
- Flooring
- Design
- Decorating
Rock the Block is back for its fifth season on HGTV and we’re very excited to announce that Mannington flooring will be featured in this season’s episodes! All non-tile flooring installed in the homes this season is available from Mannington.
If you’re not familiar with Rock the Block, here’s how the show works: teams of HGTV designers compete to design and renovate blank-slate homes located on the same block. In the end, the team that adds the most to the home’s appraised value wins. For season five, teams of designers from previous seasons who didn’t win are back for another chance at victory. Since all of the designers have done the competition before, new twists have been added to create some new challenges.
Each episode focuses on different areas of the houses and in the season five premiere, we saw the designers working on kitchens—keep reading to see how each team used Mannington flooring!
Team 1: Page & Mitch
Page and Mitch from Fix My Flip are creating a style they call Coastal Chic. Since the homes in this season are located on the waterfront in Treasure Island, Florida, they wanted to create some resort vibes, with bifold windows to support indoor/outdoor living, a wine wall, and a grocery lift to make it easy for residents to bring groceries into the house from the garage. They also added a large kitchen island, a formal dining area, lots of cabinetry, and a nook with a sink and food prep space. Their kitchen features Mokuzai flooring in Autumn Leaf, part of Mannington’s ADURA®APEX luxury vinyl line.
Team 2: Keith & Evan
Keith and Evan from Bargain Block are calling their home’s aesthetic Organic & Modern. This means lots of neutral colors and quartz countertops and backsplash, and beautiful wood tones added with Mannington’s ADURA®Max Luxury Vinyl Kona flooring in Sunrise. Since the homes all the designers are working with this season started out being very open, Keith and Evan added some space definition to the kitchen and dining areas to make them feel cozier. They also brought in a lot of visual interest through arched doorways and artwork that features a lot of texture.
Team 3: Lyndsay & Leslie
Lyndsay and Leslie of Unsellable Houses are embracing the home’s location and are calling their style Tropical Retreat. This includes pops of green, tropical print wallpaper, and wicker accents. They also added a lot of wood tones through cabinetry and Mannington’s ADURA®Max Sonoma luxury vinyl flooring seen here in the color Cork.
Team 4: Bryan & Sarah
Bryan and Sarah from Renovation Island are creating a style they call Natural Zen. They brought in some soft, organic vibes by creating a curved wall, arched doorways, and attaching a rounded dining table to the kitchen island. They also used Mannington’s ADURA®Max Swiss Oak luxury vinyl flooring in Truffle which adds some beautiful warmth to the space.
Which kitchen won? You’ll have to tune in to find out. New episodes of Rock the Block air on HGTV Monday nights at 9:00 PM Eastern! Episodes are also available to stream on Max.
