Mannington on Rock the Block: Season 5 Recap

Season 5 of HGTV’s Rock the Block has come to an end and it has been an amazing season. All of the designers created some truly beautiful homes and we’re very proud that Mannington's ADURA® luxury vinyl floors played a part in all of them!
Since each design team had competed in previous seasons in Rock the Block but hadn’t won, it was very interesting to see how they took the lessons learned from past experiences and used them to influence their design choices this time around as they worked on their floor plans and built out all the spaces in their homes.
Everybody brought their A game for season 5 and the competition was tough, but every team has a lot to be proud of. Now that the winner has been announced, let’s take a look back at how each team made their homes come together!
Team 1: Page & Mitch
At the beginning of the season, Page and Mitch decided on a Coastal Chic design theme for their home and they fully embraced the concept of easy living. The interior feels very modern with lots of warm wood tones, ample natural lighting, and thoughtful design choices like a grocery lift to help bring groceries in from the garage and bifold windows in the kitchen that seamlessly join it together with the outdoor balcony.
Many rooms in Page and Mitch’s house feature Mokuzai luxury vinyl flooring in Autumn Leaf, part of Mannington’s ADURA®APEX line. They also used Mokuzai in the master bedroom to create an amazing bed platform so that residents will have a clear view of the water while resting in bed.
Team 2: Keith and Evan
Keith and Evan had decided on an Organic Modern style for their home and in the end, their home was an excellent example of how to incorporate natural influences into home decor. Their home was full of rich textures and natural materials like wood and stone counters with strong veining. They were also able to create some unique surprises in their home, like a hidden laundry room.
Throughout their house, Keith and Evan used Kona luxury vinyl flooring in Sunrise, part of Mannington’s ADURA®Max family. Since their home featured a lot of lighter colors, the Kona flooring added some beautiful contrast.
Team 3: Lyndsay and Leslie
Lyndsay and Leslie did a fantastic job of putting the “fun” in “functional.” They went with a Tropical Retreat theme for their home’s decor and combined those tropical vibes with some bold design choices, luxurious features, and lots of practical features that make the space very livable, like rooftop solar panels, backup batteries, motion-activated lighting in the master closet, and lots of laundry areas.
In many rooms of their house, including the kitchen, bedrooms, dining room and living room spaces, Lyndsay and Leslie used Sonoma flooring in Cork from Mannington’s ADURA®Max luxury vinyl collection, which brought in some beautiful warmth.
Team 4: Bryan and Sarah
With their Natural Zen style theme, Bryan and Sarah created a calming but elegant home full of natural lighting, tranquil neutral colors, wood tones, and striking curved architectural features. The ceiling and curved wall in their living room were true showstoppers and the overall aesthetic feels both modern and timeless. It’s a home that will be in style for years to come.
In many rooms of their home, Bryan and Sarah used Swiss Oak luxury vinyl flooring in Truffle, part of Mannington’s ADURA®Max line, which perfectly complements the organic vibes of their decor.
Rock the Block Season 5 Winner (Spoilers Ahead!)
After the homes were appraised and the contestants got to tour each other’s homes for the first time, the sky lit up with the names of the winning team: Lyndsay and Leslie! The street this year’s competition was held on was renamed “Lyndsay and Leslie Lane” in their honor, and we were happy to be along for the ride and a part of so many creative and stunning spaces throughout the season!
